Hello,
I have been a new user of LG Plasma 42PJ560 and have noticed the following problems:
The screen keeps on automatically reducing/increasing brightness continuosly.
I have switched off all the Dynamic Modes like contrast Brightness sharpness but alas it has been of no help.
I have also kept the intelligent sensor in the off mode and gamma on the medium mode but the brightness increasing decreasing persists.

Anyone facing such a problem? Please do revert with solutions or issues if any.
Regards
Mahesh

well..

ideally it should not happen.. did you turned off the intelligent sensor using the energy (green button on remote ).

and does the brightness increases and decreases in the same environment..or it happens when you turn off and on the lights or room backlight changes..

or changes when the channel changes....

coz some channels do appear a bit brighter and darker..

its the green enenrgy saving button is set to off.

so change in room environment.

keeping the same channel..

if it still happens.. might be an issue.

Yes the intelligent sensor has been turned off and also this happens constantly without any environment change on the same channel.
Typically happens more on SAB and Sony channels. I have seen this happening when the camera zooms on the face or zooms out particularly.

Is it that the piece is faulty?

hmm.. well sometimes it seems to happens when we suddenly move from dark to bright scenes.. like from dark background to sudden white when advertisements come.. but if that is like too much ... might be an issue..

Thanks for the reply. I have put in a complaint with LG Service. Lets see what happens when they come. Will keep you posted.

Regards

I've noticed that the Intelligent Sensor in my PQ70 does not work at times and I have to 'reset' it by moving between Max and Intelligent exactly twice. This kicks in the Intelligent Sensor again. This only happens when I switch off the TV using the remote and keep the mains plugged in and switch it on again. It's kind of forgetting the sensor settings.

might be static charge.. this charge creates problems.. we are unknown of and generally solves the problem after a power cycle..

lets see what the tech have to say bout the same issue for your system.
