Dear all - there is a new model of LG QNED which has been released called 88T. The pricing seems interesting - the 75 inch model is available for around 1.3 lacs after discounts. The website and all press release state that this is a new generation AI based QNED with Nano cell technology.

RTRings has reviewed the QNED 85T model and has given high ratings. However, they have also given the QNED 82T comparitively lower ratings.

I am not sure if this model is sitting between the QNED 90T (which is being very highly rated by RT Rings) and 85T which is also a well rated model.

The LG website does not specify if this is a mini-LED (though I read somewhere that all QNED models are mini-LEDs), or the number of dimming zones or if this has an IPS or a VA panel. However, since this is powered by an A8 chipset which powers the 90T and B4 also, I presume that this is a higher end version.

Any other options I should consider for a 75" tv?

Request the help of panel members to let me know if this is a good purchase. My budget is about 1.5 lacs for a 75" TV primarily for movie watching in the living room.

I am considering the same model for buying, although 65inch one. What I've been able to understand is that this model does sit between QNED85'T'(Edge lit) and QNED90T(FALD Mini LED) as QNED85T was without Dolby vision and this one comes with it. QNED88T has Edge led backlighting as per the specs listed on website. I also checked out QNED82T and QNED88T side by side in a LG Best shop. The QNED 82T has that halo effect in dark scenes due to only 6 huge dimming zones across whole screen. However, QNED88T doesn't have that probably due to increased number of zones(I also read somewhere that QNED85T was 'edge lit mini led', so this might be a spiritual successor to same). I cant comment on IPS vs VA since you're asking about 75inches but what I've observed is that all LG panels (except OLED) upto 65inches sold in India are IPS only. Also, rtings reviewed QNED85UQA which is different and has full array backlighting instead of QNED85T which only has edge led.

Any idea about 65 inch QNED90T6A panel and pricing? Is it comparable to x90l ?

Qned 88 is edge lit ips, local dimming is in vertical bands and led bleed at corners is apparent in 55 inch atleast, that a friend bought recently.contrast is good though.

Hi can you suggest me a non oled 65 under 1.3L or 75(preferred) under 2L?
Was targetting x90l but it seems out of stock.
Also any group buy for the same would be good

Right now is not the time to lose money, wait for 2 weeks prior or 1 week prior Diwali, that is when prices will drop. Bravia 7 may fall below 2l for 65. Qned90 if LG maintain a VA panel must be interesting to see also, the ips miniled qned 90 of last year was disappointing however and lg have tried to sell it at 1.3 already this year for 65.
Tcl and hisense are poor in service or would have been recommended too for u7n and c755, you can demo the at Rd too but risky takes. X90l was supposed to be a continued model so I'm surprised how it has disappeared then.

Can you tell me what was the problem with Qned90 SQA(23 model), other than obvious IPS panel characteristics. Sometimes back one of the LG brand store in Bengaluru was offering at 1.23L for the 65 inch. Now not available as it seems they have exhausted the stock.

Despite being miniled and it being in lg store with no other miniled to compete against, it felt washed out and YouTube videos like starfield test didn't stand out.. Also weird enough qned88t with ips felt almost same or more punchy in some scenes than this. I have a strong bias against ips so despite the Mouthwatering price it didn't make sense

what are we supposed to look out for in a starfield test? I looked it up on Youtube but didnt find anything related to what you are supposed to infer from that.
