It appears LG has released open source gpled version of firmware for their TVs. There has been quite a bit of mod to activate network access/DLNA etc on Saturn 6 based TVs such as 2010 PJ/PK series TV. This has been done mostly in the European spec TVs.
I would like to know has anyone tried similar things on India spec TVs with any success?
If we can atleast extract the firmware (mine is V3.22 on 42PJ560R). We may get further assistance from the user group.
So far, even activating the Divx HD didnt work as the tool option menu is disabled in the firmware I have. If you got firmware older than this, you might have some success.
Also, has anyone tried controlling the TVs through the Serial port. I see some codes in the user manual related to this, but havent had the chance the try this. This would be helpful for example to power on TV from Media center PCS/switch input mode etc., I need to get a null modem serial cable soon to get this started.
