I wanted to buy a 50-55 inches flat panel tv,,what is experience with Samsung 51F5500 plasma or LG50LA6130 LED or LG55LA6200 or any panasonic tv preferably in the line of Rs 1 lac
'

in Reality i would have preferred only 3D panasonic, but in India they do not have any 3D model and only other model is samsung only, which even has a scheme for extended warranty by paying extra money,or the other way is to buy grey market panasonic 3D plasma, which is like committing harakiri ,without obtaining any warranty

No passive 3D Panasonic is sold in Indian market, other option of passive 3D by LG finds any mention in 5 star rated TV, if there is any model , it is very highly priced, which is too expensive

I have read reviews on the net that E6 is a good TV,but seeing the non availablity of 3D Panasonic TV,s ,I will have to go for Samsung 51F5500

^ And why is that ?

Buddy you think ACTIVE 3D is better than PASSIVE ? :D

I personally prefer Samsung over LG or Sony but while doing a 3D demo i got a headache within 3 mins and didn't like it at all.. reason? well it flickers a lot which leaves you no choice to turn off lights while watching 3D. On Other hand Sony's ACTIVE 3D is very good, yes they were bulky but almost no flickering.

I have LG 3D TV (Passive 3D) guess what.. i never have to charge it, no flickering, not expensive, suitable for all ages.

Sure there are plenty of threads in this forum which explains about these two technologies. :)

Shrey,

Thanks for your input, which LG series are you using,i was getting a very good deal on LG55LA6200 around Rs1.10 ,but when i checked on the net, reviews for this series were not satisfactory, picture being not upto standard.

Hi mekr,

I have LG 6910.. it has excellent 2D PQ and 3D PQ.. Sound quality is best in class.

Yes when i demoed LA 6200 Series i was not so impressed with its PQ, 6910 has that Premium PQ. You can go for LG 6910 which has better PQ than 6200 series.

Why don't you wait for another month or so coz all brands are launching new models.. its definitely worth waiting..

Shrey,

Thanks for your advice to wait for a month ,you are right ,already Samsung has launched in US & UK ,New LED panels with affix of "H" before the model number, though it is not showing on any asian websites of samsung.

Sony has also introduced some models in US with preorder sales and delivery in FEB.

After going through reviews on different websites on the net,my conclusion is that LED TV,s by Sony and samsung are the best and Plasma,s by panasonic are the best.

So i am thinking of waiting for march to buy.

All major manufacturers of flatpanels of 4K have reduced their prices by 25-30% on 2014 range

today i compared LG55LA6900 ,Sony 55W850 and samsung Un55 F7000 and found picture quality similar, sony and samsung showing better images & palate and price wise LG is expensive @Rs1.85 lacs with sony and sammy trailing @1.55lacs

Hi Mekr,

Thanks for update and yes its worth waiting.
I remember waiting for new TV models in MAY 2013, as they were already launched in USA, UK and Australia.. with a month new models arrived in India and yes they impressed me in terms if PQ and improved sound and lots of new features added.

After the launch of new models which is not far from now all present models LA6910 OR W850/W950 prices will come down.
So just postpone this for another month or so then you are good for another year :ohyeah:
