Is this any good? The Indian avengers had bad audio quality but i see this is by Excel and not sony DADC.

I don't think that Avengers 3D (Indian release) had bad AQ. It sounded quite alright to me at least. But I had several other issues with it and thought that the price was not worth.

Regarding Life of Pi, the 2D version is priced Rs.999 which is quite OK considering that the package has the following:

Disc 1: Blu-ray
  • Film
  • Remarkable Vision (20 Min.)
  • Becoming PI (10 Min.)
  • Epic Journey (60 Min.)
  • Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright (5 Min.)
  • Deleted Scenes (10 + Min.)
Disc 2: DVD
  • Film
  • Remarkable Vision (20 Min.)
  • Becoming PI (10 Min.)

I have a few Indian releases and have not found audio quality to be inferior in any BD.

In which ways is it different from the American release?

You can check the below image of the US version I bought and see if there is a difference from...what just4kix mentioned earlier.

I am sorry to disagree, but the Avengers 3D blu-ray (Indian release) was actually quite pathetic. Have you heard the US version?

Almost all the DADC releases have pathetic sound and the picture quality too sucks at times.

Normally I avoid, buying DVD/Blu ray released in india beacause of

1. They are certified by CBFC. They are notorious to cut some scenes abruptly for absurd reasons, spoiling the movie experience.
2. poor video and audio quality
3. Price. not worth the money.

Some of the tamil movies pirated copies / downloaded copies have better quality than genuine one.
