Hey Guys,
My Speakers run for a while and turns off. Runs like for 5 to 10 minutes and then the LCD on the POD starts blinking/ flickering for a 30 seconds or so and then the console turns off itself. The product is under warranty. Do I need to change the fuse or should ask for a replacement.

Cheers and TIA,
Avinash

Ask for replacement I believe they will tell you to return the pod and send you a new set. That is how they do it in the US. The problem is with the pod.

well the logi warranty works that way in US.. where they needs the PID for the POD as it is unique and they ship a new POD.. however for asia.. all pods have PID as R428 but now here they do not replace the pod..

they got no stock for PODS in india as everything is shipped from singapore... the whole set will be replaced...

most probably you will get the new ones... Z5500 are no longer in production.. so accept the new ones with twin optical in.

How long will the process take. I need to get this job done quickly. Can someone help me with some contact numbers. I can call the person directly and ask for the replacement.

you wont the replacement directly.. and in us they don't ask for the old set .. instead they ask you to completely destroy the old set.. (i mean that.. destroy.. like irreparable) and then them pics of the same and they send you a new one.. coz shipping of 30kg box is expensive than the set itself...

in India you gotta lug it around in the boot of ur car.. go to the service center and get a new set by yourself..

and yes rashi is the authorized importer for india..

I agree with theironhorse but I have not heard of the destructive photographs. This is because a lot of people out there have a headless Z5500 system and there is a whole thread on DIYA to make use of the powered subwoofer and satellites without the control pod.

I also have a Z5500 woofer (coz my friend lost the pod and satellites while travelling by Air India!). I have made myself a control pod using the cirrus logic DD DTS decoder chip.

^ The RMA is handled by Savex computers for Logitech products in Pune. I had been their, they offered to replace it with a Z906. I happen to listen to Z906 there. I am extremely disappointed with Z906. I cannot mendle with POD, since its still in warranty. I am considering to get it replaced and then sell it.

Can you guys suggest me some HT Setups around 15K.

@Audiodoc- I am sure that its the POD issue. Is it repairable? In case yes, how much would it cost to get it repaired.
It happened two days ago that I had connected my Z5500 to my Samsung LCD TV via headphone jack. It was running for almost 2.5 hours. It went off all of a sudden. After few mins, the LCD was flickering continuously and went off. But a day later, I was able to play any audio for a minute or two then it would turn off itself. This is the issue. Could you guide me over getting it replaced or getting it repaired.
I am not content with the way Z906 performs. I feel it as a way to reduce cost and improve profits by Logitech. Please respond ASAP. Need to decide by tomorrow to send for replacement or get it repaired.

z5500 was made considering quality in mind and with the z906 is was more of profit.. the amp inside has been changed and will no way z906 perform better than the z5500..

getting the POD fixed.. dont think so will happen and dont try that too..it will void the warranty.. better get the replacement.. sell it off while its sealed for a decent price and get yourself a edifier s550..

Hello all

I'd like to share my expirience with this speakers. For all people that are thinking of buying it I have quick advice. Don't ever buy it !!! Realy it is not worth trying. This is my expirience:
1. I bought it. I did some reviews on internet. I've read opitions. There was mix opinion about them. Byt anyway I've decided to buy them. I regret this decysion. So please don't make my mistake. :)
2. After few days of working the speakers stopped working. Not completly, but every random time like 30 minutes or one hour they started to swich off. Very anoying. You will be able to swich them on again and they worked another 30 minutes.
3. Anyway I've sent them back to shop. They replace them. After long discussion, bacause they cannot recreate issue. As swiching off is very random. And they was working sometime 3 houers. But they give me new sobbufer.
4. It was ok for a month. Now they started again swiching off. What a crap!. I need to send them to store again and it will took 14 days of repeair. I need to pay tranport costs to shop. And again wait until they fix somthing.

When I was beying this speakers I was thinking that this are midile ranange speeakers. They are not cost 10 euro to be so so bad. The issue with automaticly turning off is described on internet. Some people say that they are overheating. But realy what the crap device. For this price they should put the correct radiators or energy consumption device to avoid it. It is probably the design issue. Something is to close to radiators and it is causing issues. But anyway even if they give me new speakers. What is a point if they after waranty stopped working again? When I'm bying such speakers I don't expect them to be broken after 1 year. Who will fix them then? Anyway the isssue with swiching off is so stiupid that it seems like somebody design speakers to swich them off after some condition. Like tempearture. So insted of putting bigger radiators to avoid heat they put auto swich off algorithm. ? What invlaid aproach. !

So realy please don't buy ever this speakers. Please chose diffrent manufacture. I'm so angry on Logitech company - that I will buy nothing from then in my life time. It is waste of my time, my resources and my life to deel with this crap speakers.
