Logitech Z906?

Hi all,

I am happy that i found you all and hope you guys will help me out.
My current setup HTPC>HDMI>SONY BRAVIA>RCA> 2.1 Speakers.

I am looking to get a decent movie experience and an affordable price (<20K), as i can see the logitech Z906(17K) fit's in all aspect as i am concerned.

People who have z906 please give your feed on it. My use 75% Movies, 25% Music & Gaming.

My current setup HTPC>HDMI>SONY BRAVIA>RCA> 2.1 Speakers.
Predicted setup: HTPC connected via Optica cable to Z906 & HTPC> HDMI to LCD TV.
I assume the above setup is the optimum way to setup the speakers. Please comment on this too.

Z906 is new so very few people have it and its a pc based speaker system so generally people do not prefer it for HTIB usage .. sub 20k though nutin beats it..

i have the z5500 and .. as per your usage they will suit just fine.. as u stated 75% movies.. for music they have a narrow soundstage... however watchin movies is quite good for the price point.

i recently bought a z906. i was not aware of the all about 'sound' thing before. so i had purchased it for music 80% and movies 20%. After purchase, i dissapointed at first because i started to play music. Later, i inquired and findout its not at all for music.

now important part is, Its good for movies - absolutely rocked. i have no experience and money for costly ht setup. So 5.1 dolby quite satisfying.

for info- one seller is running a promotion for it where u can get it as low as 13.3k. ( i have also purchased from that seller)
