low sound on dishtv HD+

i have connected my dishtv HD+ stb to my pioneer home theater via optical link. i got normal sound through it which was quite clear and louder. but after the latest upgrade for dishtv firmware the sound is quite low and voice is unclear even at high volume. i did all reset procedures from dishtv but still the problem is there. the sound from the home theater is normal when i play movies, music etc on it. is there any way to get back the normal sound. If you are getting sound at normal volume on the HDMI out then definitely this is firmware probelm for which you have to contact Dish. I hope you have not changed or touched the TOSLINK cable between STB and AVR in between. At most you can try with a spare TOSLINK if you have one
