Marantz 6004 4 speaker set up

Hi all,

I am thinking buying another pair of speakers to run on my Marantz 6004.... i currently have a pair of B&W bookshelf speaker (686) which after running in a couple of weeks now are in my opinion excellent for their size...
But i want a bit more umph! ... I play mainly prog rock type music, a little bit of classical and on occasion chart type music (to keep the mrs happy).
My question is will the amp be happy to drive 4 speakers and if so what will compliment the B&W's... ??
Would like to try some mid range floorstanders (500-700??) but do not want to part with the cash if its asking too much of the amp??

Adding extra speaker would never make a big difference in output,it would make a change in appearance, henace suggested by GCE add a good Musical Sub and bang the Music hall.

You have lot of open choice to own a musical sub's in U.K Sunfire,HSU,JBL could be VFM

Sub B&W 608 on Marantz level B spk out (or 610 for more than 30 square meter wide room);
for radio-news you can exclude the sub simply pressing spk B button...
