i have MARRANTZ 6006
I want to connect my laptop to 6006 via HDMI, SO that i can send video and audio via 6006

i wana play a movie in laptop, but through HDMI it goes to 6006 thn screen comes to TV.
IS IT POSSIBLE??????/

if yes thn plz tell me how

Laptop with HDMI & support of 7.1 surround can be connected to to 6006.So 6006 will play sound & display will be seen on HDTV.Which Laptop do you have?

if your laptop has HDMI port, you can connect.right now i am also doing same with marantz 5006

Connect a HDMI cable from the laptop to Marantz AUX2 input

Connect a HDMI cable from the Marantz ARC1 (Hdmi output) to the TV (HDMI1) input

Turn on TV, Receiver and Laptop in this order

Set Marantz to AUX2

Set TV to HDMI1

Turn on video source on Laptop

Guys guys

Plz some 1 help me with Marantz 6006.
I m facing some following problms with Marantz 6006, cause i m new to it.

1) BLU RAY player was working fine , but suddenly from last 3 days wenevr i connect blu ray eith AVR, it shows " NO SIGNAL" on Tv screen. I changes HDMI cable also. Wenever i removed hdmi cable, MARANTZ is only comes on screen. Kya karu??

2) OPTICAL AUDIO CABLE - i want to connect OPTICAL CABLE from TV , Blu ray to AVR, but its not working. Plz help

3) LAPTOP - i want to play movie through LAPTOP AND HDMI, but its not working, no signal is coming on screen. I have checked with FRIENDS laptop also.

Friends plz help, due to all this i m not able to enjoy music, movies from MARANTZ 6006.

Probably your AVR has been hard Reset.

Check the Assign Input Settings of the Source on 6006 you are using.
eg. If you are connecting external BDP to HDMI 1 of AVR 6006, then
1. You will have to go to Source Input -> Select
2. Then -> Input Assign
3. Manually Assign eg. BD with HMDI source as HDMI 1
4. Come back to main page.
5. You can then select BD in your remote.

Above should work. Pls check and confirm.

Kindly update your receiver with latest firmware or do a hard reset.
Does any other HDMI source work with your 6006?
