Congratulations on your purchase. You have purchased the ESL -X which has two eight inch woofers. These are phenomenal speakers which need good powerful amplification. Good because it is extremely revealing and can sound too detailed at times and needs an amp which is forgiving of harsh recordings. Powerful because it dips to around two ohms and unless the amp doubles up in power at lower ohms, u may have problems. As regards the bass, I have had extensive listening with their younger brother, the ESL(single 8 inch woofer and smaller panels), and it goes to below 40hz with room reinforcement. Needs long running in before it sounds best. Also can you share a photo of its 15 v DC power supply(wall wart)? Thanks and happy listening for years, if carefully kept and cleaned.
