In the current scenario, the number of people using traditional media like CD's, DVD's etc are on the decline. People prefer to download files from the internet, or even stream from the internet directly. Of course, there is a big difference in terms of quality of picture and sound between the optical media and what we usually download, which are highly compressed.
What we want
ed to do is to bridge that gap, and hopefully we've achieved that with our new range of media servers. These servers come with an in-built blu-ray drive to help you archive all your optical media. The key word is 'automatically'. You don't have to do anything other than put the disc into the server drive and voila, it copies the entire disc to the server, downloads metadata, tags automatically and neatly sets it up for you to just browse and play back music/movies conveniently using your ipad/tv as interface, without any loss of quality as we can store the files as lossless (flac) for music, and native formats or ISO image files for movies. These servers can also store all your photos so that you can access all your media files from one single location available in any room, with multiple concurrent streams possible simultaneously without any lag or stutter.
Did I forget to mention that you can backup your data automatically as well from your computers, so that in case one of your machines crash, there's no loss of data.
Presenting MADBox, India's first and only intelligent media servers. For those who are wondering, there is some meaning behind the mad-ness. It stands for Media Archiving and Distribution.
