I was thinking of getting something for storing multiple HDDs and accessing from my 2 HTPCs.....but since i have some 4TB+ data,NAS was getting ridiculously pricey (for me 
) and came across this.

Anyone used similar storage devices and how is the performance? Whats a tentative pricing on similar devices?Since connectivity is only via USB 3.0 and e-Sata,i suppose i cannot place it at a convenient position,but rather very close to the HTPC so that makes sharing between multiple machines a lot difficult.
Am looking at a cost effective way to share my internal HDDs between both HT setups having HTPCs and at the same time,avoid running all these HDDs continuously and connect upon demand only.
