Metal Work using CNC on Aluminium

Hi,

Although an unsuitable area to post, I know this forum has several people who have seen this country in and out in their various journeys, professional or personal.

I was looking for some information on areas where metal work is carried out on small Aluminium molds, specifically small workshops bulding aluminium molds using CNC then hand polishing them. These molds are often used for small plastic parts which don't need the expensive complex steel molds.

Any information is helpful.

There is a cluster of small workshops and SSIs in and around the Guindy Industrial Estate, Ambal Nagar and Ekkattuthangal - all in Chennai, that do precisely this kind of work: Aluminium machining and mould-making. You can probably look at the Yellow Pages for Chennai to find further contact info.

Please try Goregaon and Oshiwara areas. There are lots of scattered industrial complexes on either side of the crowded SV Road. I have found one very fine machinist in that area. Another forum member had got his speaker front baffles CNC-ed in Goregaon.

They usually need samples and CNC files.
