Micromax 49" 50C1200FHD/50C5500FHD 124 Review after 3 months

After waiting for almost 10 years, i finally decided to buy a Big screen TV and a Home theatre system.

My preprevoius tv was a Sony Bravia 22" LCD.So i am compairing it with it.


There is nothing new in this MMX.all are same as my old LCD except the size and it is a full HD.build quality is very average.
Remote contains only basic features.there is nothing you can change as far as the settings are concerned.But still it does its job very well.Videos in HD looks fantastic crisp and clear.SD looks average.Fantastic black levels and you can compare it to any tvs with your naked eyes.

I have connected it with my Tata sky with HDMI and at it works fantastic.Second HDMi i connected with the Chromecast and works flowlessly.

Now comes the Negative about this tv.

The refresh Rate 1080p@60HZ is evident when whole screen is moving in slow motion.but felt it when only watching the TATAsky.when i connected with my laptop through HDMI( watched american snipper Full HD through VLC) ,it was awesome and there was no issue at all.Flowless it is.

Reaching the connectivity option is painfull.I was wall mounted and it is impossible to connect anything with out removing the tv from wall.

May I ask abt a few pts:

1. What about sound? You have connected it to a home theatre?
2. Where did you buy it? online/offline?
3. Extended warranty?
4. Lag/Motion blur was felt in sports or fast action scenes?
Regarding refresh rate - 50/60 Hz in most TVs in this budget even for LG/Sony/Samsung
5. Regarding wall mount - try a swivel wall mount - one that is available with LG TVs. Shd be available locally.. or use USB/HDMI extender cables.
6. quality of USB playback when compared to HDMI from laptop?

Sound is good normal for this TV and there is no issues.now I have connected with HT .

Not opted for any extended warranty.
Bought it from flipkart for 32k.

There is not much lag or blur in fast moving seen but I felt lag when all objects in screen moving in slow.an example is the news ticker.this is one big issue..

Quality is not good when playing from USB with less than 720 p files.but full HD or Hd from through HDMI or chrome cast is excellent and comparable to any led TV.I will post some screen shot soon
