Thought, I will share my setup for reviews and comments. Not sure, what is the limit to upload the photos. So the first set in limited.

Im uploading few more in flickr, will share link soon.

Overall, me, my family and my relatives are happy with the setup when they get cinema like feel. some carpentry work still pending from where I set.. Once that is done, I shall post the seating view...

Long way to go....:)

Nice setup. Good that everybody is happy with your modest setup. There is no big Home theater look is needed or a 25feet room is needed to create an HT atmosphere. Once you switched of the light everything is same irrespective of 50L HT or 2L HT look wise ( not telling about sound).

Sorry forgot to ask what about center and surrounds, just post picture.

Enjoy your setup and slowly do upgrade to fulfill more necessary requirements.

Thanks Srini, Ankur,Jithu & Baiju. I shall post more pics once carpentry work is completed.

for acoustic treatment, I just planning to buy a carpet for the floor for 2 reasons - 1 to cut down reflection from the screen and 2 to absorb sound from sub. I am hoping to complete these by monday.. will share more pics as soon as it is done..

Nice setup mate....hoping to post mine as well once the screen is done. Really grea to know the entire family is sharing the fun. :D :D

BTW, that's a 120 incher mate? Also, whats the throw distance?

Regards
Imrahn

Sri,

Covering the floor with a carpet is a good idea. However, please keep in mind that it'll only absorb high frequency coming from speakers. It won't have any effect on the low frequency coming from the sub woofer.

Hi Ankur,

thanks for the input, there is too much glare coming from the screen. I can see the entire movie on the floor.. need to cut off that glare thats all.

Im not sure.. can anyone help me... i am unable to post pics as quota is exceeded....

As per few suggestions, I have uploaded few pics onto tinypic. there are photos of my seating location, surround, centre and front speaker and some movie screen shots. Hope you will give comments.

Thanks guys... @thecoolestone - Yes, during day light, there is a light leakage from both screens. I am planning to put clips on sides to fix them. completely OK at night.

Dark Carpets will cut the reflection and absorb the excess light to create a warm environment for movie watching.

Here's an alternative you can consider, replace the window glass with reflective glass, this generally cut's out the light to a certain extent(I have it in my living room) and replace curtains with dark blinds, the ones that roll down.

Ankurshashi - Not sure if I can replace the glasses as I dont have provision on that side. Moreover the windows have wooden frame. Let me try any case... I am also planning to get a dark carpet this weekend. will post pics soon
