Just as the above pic visualises, wishing warmth and musical tiding to all esteemed HFV members and their loved for 2017 and beyond !

Looking back at 2016, its been a continuing privilege to interact and learn from the learned posters and especially on the phono threads. Its also gratifying to witness initiatives such as the AR Rahman vinyl release powered by HFV members.

Meanwhile, wishing you all a safe and enjoyable evening ahead. Personally we are staying put at home. Absolutely no wish to leave behind this nice setting for the freezing cold and drunk drivers outside

Accompanying was Zinfandel, Oban and Jura.

More power to that Sir. In 2016 I finally decided that I wont be buying a DAC after procrastinating several years over it. Now even the CDP is gone.

Hey! What kind of tube amp have you got?

Sir this particular one is DIY 6550/KT88 SE in triode mode.

The line stage below the Garrard is a prototype 6SN7 with a MOSFET follower. This is actually not my most preferred tube but I have returned to it after a long time to do some experiments.

Excellent choice Sir. In fact we did a mistake with our selection. Should have gone with a Single Malt as the ambient temp dropped too low over the night despite the candles and the 6550s !
