I haven't used MX speaker cable....I think they don't sell the speaker wires as per our requirements (10 ft, 15 ft...). They sell only @ 100ft roll i guess...

But I have been using MX other products (HDMI Cable, Optical cable, Coaxial cable, composite cable & component video cables) for a more than a year...

They are very good quality products @ modest prices....

Check with the MX shop in Ritchie street if you can get your required meters.. If you don't, i would suggest you get in touch with Decibel - Raghu.. He has Belden speaker cable.....

You can get in touch with Grand cinema - Kodambakkam. They sell DAC (Designer Audio Cables)...

See if you can find Finolex wires. I've used them for Onkyo 3400 with good effect, better than stock Onkyo wires. And very cheap. But again, it's usually sold in bulk

+1 get the finolex copper wires guage 16/18

Any idea where one can get Finolex copper cables in Mumbai? Their website does not mention anything about copper based speaker cables. And what are the rates?

i think u will get finolex copper wires at lohar chawl or the nearest electric / hardware shop and guage 16 wire was purchased at Rs60/mtr from lohar chawl in 2010.

@kneo: I don't think finolex has any speaker wire as such. I think the FMs here are suggesting that you can use their regular thick copper wire for speakers. Basically a good speaker wire is a good copper wire. That should be easily available.

If you want something different and (arguably) better, do consider FINOLEX/ HAVELLS' single core copper (wire) cable, the kind that is used for truck/tractor cables.

Belden is pretty good as well, if not better, no doubt.
