Hi,
Just wanted to share my experience and set up with the Epson EH TW6100.
Bought it last week in Mumbai. The broad specs are 2300 lumens of brightness and 40000:1 contrast ratio. It also has inbuit speakers of about 20 Watts which I thought would be more than enough at the outset. I was a bit sceptical about using the PJ in ambient light but took the leap of faith. ( Finally I am using it in Cinema mode with just ECO light. Cinema mode uses the least lumens as it is)
I basically installed it myself since I had planned to keep it on a shelf/ table with a height of about 3 feet 10 inches. Installation involved just supplying power, connecting the HDMI and thats it !
The projection screen was my wall opposite to the table on which the PJ is kept.
The video source is the PS3 and ASUS HDP R3/ OPlay Air. So far I have tested only rips on this and yet to experiment with SD/ DVD content though I am sure the PS3 will upscale SD.
Though I want to write more, in the interest of time let me just add that this PJ can be used just out of the box by manually shifting the focus dial and no other calibration is generally required.
I am not an expert with the camera hence please excuse the quality of snaps.
Hope you enjoy these.
Cheers
