My listening room tour - video

Hi Sachin,

Thanks for the info. I used to make many recordings using mobile phone and compared them with a headphone. One of the advantage of such method is it tells about room acoustics pretty accurately. It may not be perfect but it is the cheapest and easiest way to know little more about your system. However, it won't tell much about your lower bass but it gives you the crucial information about vocal and instruments within that range.

Would you mind sharing the same recording via HT and Stereo? Since this discussion is going to be limited to very few members you can PM for further analysis.

BTW, the results may give you a false impression at first because a better system would sound bad in the mobile recordings. It takes many measurement and familiarizing yourself with the sound before making a judgment.

Thanks.

Had a wonderful evening yesterday at Sachin's place listening to his setup. He has got some very good rigs and great collections of CDs and FLACs. The place is very cozy and Sachin got his room ambiance perfect with great lightings. Thanks to Sachin for being a wonderful host :signthankspin:

It is really nice to see fellow members equipment, how they have set it all up, their sitting position etc. A video is really nice way to share.

I am out of my home town with no setup here with me, otherwise I would have loved to share mine.

Please friends, share your setup. Mobile video and Youtube are free :D

Here is my setup . Its actually in my living room . The speaker positioning is not idle with big dinning area and kitchen at back but this is what i have and make use of . I want to add a subwoofer , and hope senior members can guide with its positioning .
I actually also have spare room which i want to convert into a media/listning /HT room . Will start on that project soon .

Hi Rohan,

Thanks for your effort and putting your video for us and Congratulations! for your nice setup and well put together.

I hear very strong lower-mid frequencies reverberation as we get when we put our equilisation to "concert hall/theatre" etc in mp3 players or mobile phones etc, and I also noticed high frequency glaring. Few treatments needed there to tame things down and you can enjoy your movies ever so more. Put some thick drapes, carpets, few more furniture and thing should get better.

Once again, thank you for sharing, I really enjoyed the session. Hope to get more from other members as well.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
