My Most awaited TEAC AD 800 three in one.

I finally received my most awaited TEAC AD 800 three in one, audio player.
This was bought almost two years ago when it was released in US. With lot of extra payment and penalty, last month it reached Bangalore and today it reached my house. I am really excited.

It can play CD, cassette, and USB mp3 files.
Cassette is auto reverse, USB can be operated with options to skip folders and shuffle.
You can convert CD or cassettes into mp3 files onto your usb.
I am comfortable with this. Since one unit works the best for all three forms for me.
The audio quality is quite good. Little soft on ears. Can be heard for long hours kind.
It is very convenient. yet to explore more.
Ideal for me.

As I always say, photography is not about the camera but the person behind the camera ! Good photographs.

Coming back to the Teac - It looks beautiful. Never knew that such a thing existed. Do post your review. Does the USB play any lossless format ? What inputs and outputs does it have ? What is the complete system chain ?

Is that a voltage stabilizer kept on the shelf below it ? If yes, I would suggest moving that away a little.

Anyway, I cannot give you review of higher standard.
I will just tell you what I have got in it.

120 to 220V option.
Interconnect is RCA in and out.
CD player - plays CD and MP3 files. you can jump to folders in both unit and remote.
you can copy to USB from CD. you copy to tape from CD player.

Tape - plays all tapes. can copy to tape from CD or USB and vice versa.
It is autoreverse. Rest functions like a tape deck.

USB - Can play MP3 files from USB directly, can copy from CD and tape and vice versa. You can skip files and folders. both from unit and remote.

All the functions in the unit have dedicated columns which belong each of the type of play. like usb, tape and cd play have their own buttons.

I got this from US. Infact I asked my cousin to buy it almost two years back. he couldn't come. nobody else was interested in bringing it. Finally my sister got it.
it cost me around 240 dollars around that time if I remember correctly.
She got caught somewhere and 100 $ fine is on me.
So far it is not available in india. Global e bay also did not have so far. i have not checked it recently.

It is worth buy, if you consider listening more than the brand. So convenient, you will love this. Makes you listen more often than our bigger systems. Less wiring less gadgets. I mean that is what I want.
