I have a Samsung 55" LED TV 9000.

And i have 2TB HDD external with 1080P movies rips downloaded from the internet.
Now to watch them in full HD and for the best quality do i need to purchase a external Full HD media player like the WD player or i can directly connect the HDD into my TV and watch it.
I also have a Samsung 3D Blu ray player.
Need suggestions.
And everything will be hooked to a Denon amp and for the speakers i have Bose acoustic 10.

you can directly connect and watch it, ideally it would work. Personally i prefer WD tv and have been using the same for couple of years now and very happy with it.

If the HDD and the tv both are with you, why don't you just plug it and see? Let us know.

BTW I found the video quality to be better when I plugged in pen drive to my Media Player than the tv's usb port. Even though it travels though the AVR. And my media player doesn't features upscaling.

I will be setting up the whole system tomm, the reason i have not tried them.
But some1 did said me that Samsung only supports 2 channels and it won't give me a 5.1 experience ?
Anyways once i set them up will give it a try and will revert back.

What model denon is that? Does it take in hdmi arc? If you enable it, then you should be able to route back just the audio, from tv to your rcvr.

Hdmi arc need support both in tv and rcvr.
