Need details on AV Receiver for my 5.1 channel

Hello,

I am looking for a budget Amplifier, AV Receiver of 5.1 channel for my speakers and woofer and TV. My budget is not more than 12k. So if you could let me know it will be great. Its fine even if it comes from Grey market (Alpha in irla or etc). I live in Mumbai. So i think lot many of you should have the list. Please help..

Utkarsh Thankyou. I will check with the Sonodyne amp as well with Norge in Mumbai. I think they have store here in Mahim as well as in Ezone.

Do you have 5.1 speakers? Getting a new AVR for 12K is almost impossible. You can look for used ones or from grey market.

If you increase little more budget around 5 - 6K you can get new Denon 1312 in this price in Mumbai. Check faredeal shops. Many members purchased from there with good price.

Denon makes excellent AVR and you will satisfy with its offered price.

If you want AVR,then you can get Denon 1312 for less than 20k.

Have heard Sherwood...............nothing to write about, was not upto the mark compared to Denon, Onkyo. Better to stretch the budget a bit and go with Denon.

Hey Guys, Went yesterday to check at Alpha store in Mumbai (Grey) and found the pricing for Amplifier Denon 1312 for 19.5K. Also found Sherwood amplifier for 15.4k.

I asked Norge. Shyam Bajaj told me that there is no amps with him for 5.1CH even when i raised my budget to get one. So, now will speak with SONODYNE and probably will hook my eyes of buying Denon 1312.

Try Sound Out in Heera Panna at Haji Ali as well, last time I went there I saw Denon 1912, Marantz 5006. He might have some lower budget models as well - but all grey i.e. no bill or warranty. Dont remember the shop number, but theres only one HIFI shop there and its on the mezzanine floor of one of the shops selling the regular mobiles/gadgets etc.

Not an bad option...heading towards SB today so surely will hoping into this store.
