samsung 43d490d 3d. 41 to 43k.

you have 2 options to go with...Samsung E470 or Panna X50. Both of these models are around 41k and non 3d. There is not gonna be any difference between full hd or hd model for this size unless you gonna watch it at a distance of 5-6 feet with 1080i video.

Its not full hd. Panasonic u30. Comes around 42 on flipkart. They are Bangalore guys. So you can order from them.

Let me explain about HD resolutions. SD is the most common video signal available today, be it cable or DVD movies. A 720p panel will play SD movies better than a full HD 1080p panel since the upscale will be less.

In India HD cable is broadcast in 1080i. As you may be aware HD broadcast is still in its infancy and will take some time to mature. 1080p content is only available on bluray.

X50 being a 720p panel will play SD a lot better than full HD panels. Also the X50 has a brighter and upgraded panel compared to its predecessors. But a 1080p signal will look better on a full 1080p panel. So it all depends on what you will be mostly watching.

Team,

Thank you all for the suggestions.

aakashr - I will be mostly watching DVDrips, sports etc and my viewing distance will be around 7-10 feet. So should i go for a full HD or just HD will be sufficient. Iam not preferring 3D

Again whether these models can be wall mounted as most of them have around 20-25 kg in weight

I have searched online and found the below models. Please input your reviews for the same

HD
1. Samsung PS43D450 - INR 37640
2. Samsung 43E 400 -- INR 34999
3. Samsung 43E 470 -- INR 40999
4. Panasonic TH-P42X30D -- INR 34990
5. LG 42PA4520 -- INR 37990
6. LG 42PT560R -- INR 36790
7. LG 42PT350R -- INR 35198

Full HD
1. Panasonic TH P42U30D - INR 42440

Thanks

Team,

I was quoted 47K for 42UT30D with 2 3D eye wear.

Is the deal a good one ???

Stay away from UT30............you have not mentioned any of the panasonic 2012 tv's...........X50, XT50, UT50. suggest to go with either of them, they would be better than samsung/lg plasma's. The 30 series belong to the 2011 line up which are not that great in entry level. The 2012 tv's have been upgraded with a brighter panel and now are one of the best in the market.

+1. Go for the 2012 models. I feel that 42X50 is just the right model for you. Even Samsung 43E470 is good. Choose either of the two and you will not go wrong. Just check the glass screen reflections though.
