Friends,

I am just revamping my entertainment systms at my home. This includes a new LED TV and a home theatre.

I want to buy a home theatre that is not the usual 5.1 systems that is the packaged ones which you get at Croma or Vijay Sales etc.

I need a system that can give good sound for music and movies and are in range of 30-35K.

Will I be able to get this kind of system from Denon,Onkyo or Yamaha.

Or are there any thing better than this 3 names. Though I listen to music very much but this is the first I am going for a good sound system.

Please need your help and inputs!!

There is a lot better than this, since you listen to mostly music, you could well off with Yamaha YHT- 298 if you want to go the HTIB way.
But, if you want great sound, check for a second hand Receiver, and go step by step, with seperate speakers, you could well get floorstanding speakers and a center channel for the beginning, as you want great Music, and then use some old speakers for surrounds, and buy good surrounds later.

Look at Denon AVR1713 (5.1 system) or Denon AVR AVR2113 (7.1 system) if you plan on using it for a Home Theater System

Add a pair of Paradigm Cinema 100 v4 Speakers --- You will have an excellent starter System

As you upgrade-- you can always move the Paradigm Cinema 100 to the rear and get better front Speakers

Audition it to see if you like it
