Hi ,
I plan to build a music system using my old Sony bookshelf speakers (Model SS-H502G) paired with DVD player as source. (The original player GR-444 went kaput long back).

Can you suggest what amplifier I would need to drive these speakers.
Iam hearing about TP20 but not so sure about the specifics.

Specifications of the speaker:
*Accepts impedance of 6 - 16 ohms.
* Bass reflex type
* Woofer 14 cm dia, cone type
* Tweeter 5 cm dia , cone type
* Mass 3.2 Kg per speaker

Iam newbie in this area. So please help :)

What is ur budget?

What is rms power rating for these speakers?

Few options are :

1) Norge 2030 (~5K)

2) Astonia SC 300 (~3.5 k)

3) DNM amplifier (I forgot Model number)

Thanks rsponline.
Forgot to add the budget..
Within Rs.10k. Around 5K would be fine.

This is what I could under the Amplifier specs.
Peak music power output 800W
Continuous RMS power output 50 W+ 50 W(6 ohms at 1khz, 10%THD)

If you have budget upto 10 K then just Go to Norge dealer in your city along with speakers and take home the suitable amp.

If possible take Norge 2060 or 1000 gold so that when you will buy some good hifi speakers in future , you can use same amp. Otherwise Norge 2030 should be sufficient for you.

Order your Rega Turntables & Amplifiers from HiFiMART.com - India's reputed online dealer.
