need help to enable dts in denon 1604

hi guys.. i bought spdif bracket Gigabyte SPDIF RCA Audio Out Plate Cable Bracket (Rs. 1417) from ebay..
Im using Denon avr1604..
connected spdif bracket in my gigabyte mb using coax..
im using win 7.. vlc 2.2.. realtec HD audio..
now i can able use digtal audio.. but.....
its playing only in pcm mode.. i could'nt play in dts mode..
i was trying several combinations... and the result is hair loss by pulling out my head...
PLSSSS help me out.....

Isn't there a similar thread on the same subject? Anyway, first ensure that the movie files that you are trying to play have dts tack. Most torrent downloads use aac audio which will be sent as pcm to your avr.
