Hello All,

Recently I purchased a Chord Mojo2 DAC. I can connect my WiiM mini to it using a S/PDIF Optical cable. However, I am unable to connect Mojo2 to my BD/CD Player.
Earlier I used the RCA digital Coaxial port to connect BD Player to Schiit Modi 3+.

But Mojo2 has a 3.5mm digital Coaxial port, and 2 more USB ports. My BD player has one Coaxial, one HDMI and one HDMI audio port only.

The problem is I am unsure how to connect my CD/BD player to Mojo2. I am unable to find a RCA digital coaxial 3.5mm cable. Very few are available in the market.

I contacted Sonic plumber company and they are ready to make one coaxial cable for me for Rs.1800 for 3 feet. But I am not sure about the quality of their cables.
Also Headgear Audio has a similar cable for 5k which I feel is very expensive and not sure if it's worth that much.

So please suggest how can I overcome this issue. Is there any better way to connect the BD player to Mojo2?

I am thinking of getting a Mogami cable with a 6.35mm TS Phono at one end and using a 3.5mm male to 6.35mm female to connect it but I am not sure if this will work or not and what will be the impact of the adapter on sound quality. Getting a good adapter is another challenge.

Also, I can use a 3.5mm male to RCA female adapter and connect my regular Bluerigger coaxial cable to it but again I am not sure if this will work and also what will be the impact on sound quality because of the adapter. There are no good brands or highly rated adapters available in the market.
I also tried to check if any HDMI to USB options or RCA Coaxial to USB options are available. But not found any useful solution.

Again, please help and advise how to overcome this issue. Thank you all in advance. Cheers!!!

welcome to the world of expensive cables. 😅

I use the headgear one for the mojo and i can't fault it. It works as it should, that is to say it works as well as my Mogami coaxials with no audible difference in performance, and is solidly built.

Hi DB1989, thanks.
Any idea on Sonic plumber cables. Are those any good?

My vote would also go for the headgear cable . I use it with my Mojo 2
I can understand, only the price looks too high, there is no mention of what type/brand cable they are using. Anyway there are hardly any other options. Even headphone zone customer support recommend them.
Right now I am using a 3.5mm male to rca female adapter from MX and a Bluerigger coaxial. It's works but it's a temporary solution.
Trying to find some alternate in UK market or else i will go for headgear cable..
