Need help with the home theatre system

Hi,

I am setting up a new home theatre for my new house. the room size is 21/15. I am really not sure on which home theatre to pick and choose..

I heard about the polk audio,Quadral and Dali for speakers. Can any one suggest which company is good among the three for speakers.

as I have said i was looking at polk audio,Quadral and Dali for speakers and Yamaha for amplifier. I initially was looking at 2lakhs budget but I was suggest since the room is big I will have to increase the budget. So, I am flexible with the budget. Please suggest what is the best for budget around 4 to 5 lakhs......

The best bet is to seek quotations from Home Theatre dealers around your area and see what they can provide. Don't reveal your actual budget. Tske the quotations and share with us to evaluate and help you in making a sound decision.

There are a variety of threads on HFV which you can refer to for the best brands and systems. AVRs like Rotel, Marantz, NAD, Cambridge Audio, Denon etc are performers and you need to keep your options open before taking the final call. You also need to decide if you want satellite speakers, bookshelf speakers or tower speakers.

The key is to audition as many brands and systems and prepare a wish list which you can review and shortlist what appeals to you in budget and performance. Everyone has a different ear for music and tastes...

You can also click on my user name for related posts which can give you some idea of what suggestions were provided in the past. Do not rush as this is a chunk of money you are spending. Take your time and do the right thing.

You have a very good budget. My opinion is to consider the following
AVRs - Anthem, Marantz SR 7008, Yamaha Aventage series, Pioneer LX series
Speakers - PSB Image series, Dali, Paradigm etc.
Subwoofers - SVS, Paradigm, Velodyne
Please AUDITION and if you are satisfied, go for it. Don't go for any brands by reviews please.....
