Need Reviews of Talwalkars Gym

Hi,

I need the Reviews of Talwalkars Gym in general and Kandivali/Borivali area in particular.

They have a scheme whereby you deposit Rs 25,000 for one year and you get to use their Gym/Cardio plus nutritionist for that 1 year. Has anyone use that kind of scheme? Are there any catches? Will I get my full deposit back after 1 year? or they start making excuses during that one year and cut some or full money out of that?

was a member .. didnt even go there for a year (and i think this is the catch).. Gym usually too crowded etc .

Nothing but you don't get your deposit until after 1 year....atleast that's what they told me....and is Nontransferable. ..

Try a months subscription and then go for long term.

The gym is crowded no doubt, even at Indore.

I am a regular at Talwalkar Gym at Pune. They do have good equipment. But their trainers and nutrionalists are about average. The Gym that I go to is pretty crowded but has all the facilities including massage and sauna.

I would advise that you do a "try before you buy".

p/s. My comments are strictly for the gym that I visit. Other units may be better or worse.

I had taken a postpaid plan (pay per month) > They were always trying to offload that yearly membership to the point of irritation. Of course there is a monthly plan ... start with that and see how it goes . I doubt it is 25k refundable.

Gym good trainers good sauna good .. all top class .. only irritant was this yearly plan

Talwalkers is a good Gymn in general but each facility differs vastly.
The one near my house in Hyderabad is relatively new and really very good.
Excellent Gymn equipment and sauna facilities like massage etc.

However they do get crowded thanks to their popularity. Avoid peak hours if possible.
They are also ultra aggressive when it comes to pushing their offers.
As others have said try first before paying - 25 k looks like a one year fee not usually
refundable with all the charges for a diet plan included. I seriously doubt you are going
to get this amount back going by what their packages usually cost. Ask the for a complete
breakup if you are not sure.
