Need suggestion on a 50/55" TV

Hello,

Was looking to buy a 50/55" TV for the office. It will be used very sparingly, mostly I expect people to use it for games and mostly regular SD channels.

Looking for the best bang for the buck in terms of quality - not looking for anything smart, no 3D.

Let me know model nos if you guys suggest and pricing too if you are aware of them or recently picked one up or have been researching it.

I recently enquired about the below 3 models in Chennai... All these models are 50 inches with no smart & 3D functionality...Prices might slightly differ in your city..

Toshiba 50L2300U - 65K
Panasonic 5050B6D - 62K
Philips 50PFL4758 - 62K

Panasonic 50E6D is what I'll recommend among VFM LED.

If you want to go plasma, Panasonic 50S60D or Samsung 51F4900 are good.

How good or bad lloyd L50N for 52k along with three years warranty?

3D Digital Comb Filter (don't know if this is 3D)
HDMI 2
USB 1
Video / Image decoders (didn't mention the file types)

Looks like a LED with limitations so check it out at store and then decide buying it. Not sure about their after-sales in your area but our's suck.

I actually have took demo of 40" led of same series and it played almost all non 3d videos but I'm not sure about the picture quality as I couldn't do one to one comparison with any reputed brand/series. And vendor had no stock of 50" model and he told me it will be available only on order. So what to do?
