Hi guys...i need a new tv that will be used as both tv and a computer monitor.
Requirements:
1. Easy on the eyes as i will be using for 8 to 9 hrs daily and i have low vision and dry eye problem :(
2. 32 inches or less preferred
3. Should be full hd and have all the smart features.
Will be used for coding, surfing and watching videos.

The closest i can find for my needs is the 32 inch LG La6200 model...comes wid magic remote which i like a lot.

Will this model be good and easy on d eyes because it has an ips panel??

Or is there any better option available...the samsung h6400 and other 2014 models...will they be better...i really need something like d magic remote.

There is no limit on budget and would be buying on this weekend.

All suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you!!!

You need to look out for warranty as TVs of today work for 3-9 years depending on how they are used.....sad but unfortunate truth...there are enough reviews and posts over the internet where big brands have failed consumers....

Warranty plays an important role and you need to consider brands who offer the best .....Toshiba and SHarp offer 3 years warranty and they have impressive TV models and features which meet average consumer expectations in terms of performance, connectivity etc etc.....walk into any big TV dealer store like Vijay Sales, Reliance Digital and see a range of TVs which appeal to you....you can do a side by side comparision and take the right call....click on my user name for further posts related to TVs. There are threads / post on Samsung, Sony etc available on HFV which can help you...

Hi Techspark,
Softness in PQ depend on the setting you do with your TV. Basically the Gamma adjustments and the Gain settings are responsible for softness along with Sharpness and Backlight control. There is a preset called 'MILD' in almost all sets that caters to all your needs.

Speaking of individual set I must say that Plasmas are known for soft on eyes for their natural picture tones. However it is also true that a good setup LED can also provide equivalent color tones. So adjust your TV according to your need.

I have seen the LG LA6200 in action and it is a very good set with 100 Hz panel drive along with advanced calibration settings. So if it fits your budget give it a try. Otherwise there are other options available for you at much cheaper rates like Panasonic 32E6D, Sony 32W70B and Toshiba 39P2305.

If you are a software coder/programmer stay away from plasma at this price point since there are all 768p making text readability difficult.
