Hi,
I know this is not the forum for this products but :) HFV is just good for everything:D I want a new printer for home use, budget upto 10k,with copier and scanner, need color printer as occasional photgraph printing also, with wifi will be good. Also An Ac for bedroom, room size 10*11*11, mostly night use only.

Thanks.

Having used a lot of multifunction devices, my experience with HP has been the best. I have also recently purchased the HP Deskjet 4625 All-in-one for Rs8900/-. Excellent multifunction.

for 11 by 11 room, 1 ton is technically sufficient, but 1.5 will be better. My experience with Panasonic, Voltas and Hitachi has been very good. Blue star is installed all around in my office and has been working nicely for 5 years.

No Experience. As far as I know, croma is a retail chain and don't manufacture anything themselves. Who know where they source their products from and what are you actually paying for? How will be the service? It's better to stick to the known brands.

25K of a 1 Ton is not less by any standard. Panasonic, Voltas should be the same!

I have probably used all the acs available. Budget as well as premium. I find the OGeneral the best. Provided of course it is within your budget.

And what about star ratings, according to croma guy 5* rating is only good if ac is used the whole day???? For night use 2 or 3 * rating is sufficient. And about printer is hp
3525 good??

Thanks.

I agree with the logic as its all a matter of balancing the cost. Either higher initial cost or higher running costs. I believe a common sense practical approach is required according to your budget and usage. I don't bother too much about the star rating if the cost differential is too much as all acs tend to reduce in efficiency with use. However inverter technology is marketed as being significantly more efficient. Most important factor to me is build quality and after sales service. Bottom line is it should cool well, last at least 5 yrs without any problems whatsoever.

I have a couple of ACs in perfectly working condition but I want to upgrade to ogeneral or daikin - are there any exchange offers on these?

I think OGeneral is giving 0% EMIs .. like most others.
OGENERAL, HITACHI, BLUESTAR all seems to be good. OGeneral cools the room much faster than others

any comparison of their power consumption? I hope we can bet on these high end ACs to last at least 10 years. how would power consumption of these make a difference over that time period?

For printer, look no further than Epson L-210 which has got an ink-tank system. Ink tanks are huge (70 ml) and last quite long. Ink tanks are refillable at only Rs. 400 per ink tank. Check my review: At last a printer with refillable cartridges

For AC, look at O'General, Hitachi or Diakin. For the room of your size, 1~1.25 TR split AC is good enough.

I agree regarding refills for ink cartidges. Colour printer cartridges finish very fast and are expensive to replace. Re-fillable ink tanks are a better option. Otherwise I would recommend to stick to Black and white if most of your printing is in monochrome.

Best,

Are you getting 5 Star A/C in 1 Tonne Capacity?

Here is a rough calculation of running costs. ( Since you are in Mumbai I assumed that you will be switching on the A/C through out the year). Adjust for Cost / Unit in your area. I took Rs6

Electricity Cost/Unit Rs 6
Running Hours/Day=9
Compressor On Time=70%
No of Days on =365
Tonnage =1 Tonne

Star Rating / Electricity Charges Per Year Rs

1 / 21079
2 / 19393
3/ 17957
4/ 16718
5/ 15640

Epson L-210 available at 9200/- but i am confused between hp 4625 and 210???

Went for daikin 1 ton for 26500/-.
The HP printer will bleed you on the cartridges and ink front. Trust me. I junked a top-notch HP-6200 series printer for Epson L-210. Some disadvantages of HP printer vs. Epson L-210:

- cartridges contain limited ink (not specified but approximately 20 ml) as opposed to 70 ml in the Epson
- HP will print 300 colour pages per colour cartridge as opposed to over 2000 by Epson (Epson website claims 6500)
- each cartridge will cost you Rs. 300 except black which will be Rs. 450 or so; Epson refill bottles will cost you Rs. 400 approx
- HP cartridge is chip based which means that it has an expiry date; hence it cannot be refilled; Epson ink-tanks are easy to refill (with non-Epson ink also although not recommended)

Advantages of HP printer:
- Laser like printing; not so crisp with Epson
- USB and Wireless connectivity in HP 4625; Epson is USB only
- HP 4625 is faster and probably(???) can do duplex printing; in Epson you have to manually flip pages for two-sided printing
- Note checked but almost all HP printers can print borderless photos from 3x5 to A4; Epson L210 cannot do borderless photo printing
- I have reason to believe (unsubstantiated) that HP 4625 will print better photos
- HP 4625 printer has fax capability

All said and done, I would rather choose economy over features as home printing does not require fancy features.

Pretty useful info there as also the writeup in IndiaBroadband :clapping:

I have been looking around for an AIO for a while but not pulled the trigger yet...my printer usage would not be very high but I do run into the need for copying/printing every now and then. I would also want to be able to scan my docs and print pics sometimes. Should I look for a AIO solution for home or go to the shop when the need arises?

Would Epson L210 suit my purpose? How about HP4625? How easy is it to source ink for Epson?

:signthankspin:

PS: Didn't mean to hijack but apologies to the OP...

Whatever you have asked, I have pretty much answered in my previous post. Regarding Epson Ink, call up a local distributor and ask the ink availability. I admit, that even I am a little uneasy on that front because Epson L-210 is not a frontline printer and neither is Epson strong on advertising this printer.

Hey guys, I have an HP C4588 Photosmart printer with wireless which I intend selling off, as I am moving and do not have the space to put it up. I have recently only put in genuine HP Ink catridges, so that can be a bonus.

I also have a HP Laserjet 3055 with wired networking feature. The only problem in this is that is ADF (auto document feeder) tray is broken, apart from this it works like a charm.

The combined MRP for both is around 33K, and I am looking to sell it off for 7K.

By the way, am based in Thane, ping me if you are interested.

I recently have purchased HP5525 and boy this printer is amazing. But as Just4Kix suggested its cartriges albeit cheap have limited ink capabilities.

FLipkart is also running a "clearance sale" for this printer @ 7700 odd rpice. So if you want to grab it act fast

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
