hello everyone. i m new here and new with audio setup thingy. to be straight i want to build a new audio setup. my purpose is to hear music in its best quality. now my plan is to get audio in this way-
pc-->sound card-->av receiver-->2 speakers+1 subwoofer. first of all i want to know is it right sequence is there anything i am missing? for now i want to buy receiver +2speakers. i ll buy sub later.
plz suggest me best possible receiver +2speakers within 30-35k range.
also i have corsair sp2500 speakers..so can i fit it in above mentioned setup?? if yes then how? thnx for hlp in advance.

An avr, that too in the 30-35K may not be a good choice for music. AVR is optimized for movies. Get a stereo setup like a norge amp and a pair of wharfedale bookshelf. Hopefully there are experts here who can suggest you a very good stereo setup in 30K.

Ok now my idea of stereo set up is-
Pc-> sound card-> optical cable-> stereo amp->2 speakers+ sub.
For some reason I have decided to keep budget low. So plz recommend best possible stereo amp within 6k, speakers within 12k and sub within 6k. I want wall mountable speakers. Are bookshelf speakers wall mountable?
Plz recommend products which are easily available online in india. It will be much helpful if link of online shop us provided.

At those budgets amp = Norge, speakers = Wharfedale, sub = none that I'm aware of/do you really need a sub?

I've not heard the Topping amp but if you go for that it will be 4K and give you another 2K for the speakers.

Not unless the stereo amp has an inbuilt DAC. Or you will need an external DAC that will convert digital to analog... or else a soundcard that will act as a DAC and do the conversion.

Asus Xonar Essence STX is the best soundcard DAC under 10K. Or else budget external DAC like VDAC.

Here is a Norge gold amplifier for sale in the forum. http://www.hifivision.com/sale-owner/28707-norge-concentro-gold-1000-almost-new.html. You can visit the website of the amp maker and get details like power. Power is usually specified in RMS Watts for a given impedence of the speaker and at a particular frequency. Anything around 50W per channel at 8 ohms is more than adequate for home use. Choose the speakers to match the impedence. Also allocate budget for good quality speaker cables and interconnects to connect amp to sound card.

It is possible by using Line out of the amplifier . Some sub woofers also accept speaker level inputs. If you are going to use sound card, you can directly connect sub to the 'sub out' of the sound card. In this case, the stereo amp will be fed signals for main speakers and the sub will be fed the sub frequencies only (depending on the crossover frequency you set in your software).

If you do not have budget for Asus Xonar STX, consider Asus xonar Dx. it si pretty decent at half the price.

i ll buy stx..btw i m using corsair sp2500 n it sounds pretty decent and dont wanna discard it. so how can use it along with above discussed stereo setup?

yes, you can route the speaker cable from amplifier to the subwoofer crossover input binding post so lows go to sub and then from subwoofer output take another set of cables to the left and right speakers for rest of the audio frequency.

You will not need a separate DAC if you are going to use Essence STX It is costly because it has one of the best DACs (along with other good components.

^^ this
plz clear me can i use sp2500 from stereo amp along with individual 2speakers+sub.

i mean is this setting possible--
pc-->sound card-->stereo amp-->sp2500+(2speakers+sub)

btw sp2500 is 232 watts total power (measured via FTC "RMS"method)
