hi,
friends please suggest me the best home theater system my requirement is as follows:
1)5.1 channel
2)room size 12*14
3)budget 40-50k
4)use:movies 80% music 19% game1%
5)ear:needs crystal clear sound instead of all woofer (boom boom),will be playing at moderate volumes ,vocals as well as bass should be clear.

earlier i have made my mind for HTIB, but after reading different people in here at hifi i changed my mind and budget too.

note:if i find myself low on budget m planing to go purchasing inparts i.e purchasing few component at time and rest a month later, but budget should not get sky rocketed.
if i do so what component should i acquire first still maintaining the good sound ??

hi piyush
suggest you to buy avr and centre and fronts first.
buy sub and rears later..this way you can enjoy uncompromised quality due to budget..

however within 50k a avr and 5.1 set is also possible..

my suggestion go for onkyo avr as your main aim is movie..
if its denon it can be 1713 fro you...373 if yamaha...
30k avr...and 20k for centre and fronts..
polk tsi/sonodyne sonus/wharfdale 9 or 10....all are good speakers....demo and decide..
if budget is very tight..example...1311 from denon 22k...is also goood....
then 28k is for speakers .....say whar 10 centre 11k..and 10.1 fronts say..17k..

for movie purpose a centre and a sub is quite okay for start...(yes 1.1 only)..as in movies centre and LFE bass playes the major role....

demo all possibilites and decide..

btw fs is not really needed....as your room is small..and your main aim is movies...so you can safely rule out floorstanders and go for bookshelves only...

onkyos are way overpriced in india..if you are okay with 110 volt and no warranty...you can buy onkyo avrs much cheaper from e bay global easy buy,amazon....or directly via friends/relatives/self

avenue sound india also deals imported avrs...and is very reputed..you can try..

I would suggest you start out with a Denon 1713 and match it up with a pair of Paradigm Cinema 100 speakers. This will give you the crystal clear sound that you are looking for

As your budget allows buy the center, sub and rear speakers

Thanks prosenjit and all for such an quick response.
But prosenjit ur suggestion is bit confusing about wat to bought firsr .woofer ,center and avr or avr center and front for movie watchin..that too will dl stuff frm internet mostly.and also peopke plz giv the review about denon E200 avr.is it good or not

If you want crystal clear sound then consider Yamaha RX-V373 for around 25K or RX-V473 for around 31K. You can even audition Denon 1513/1713.

For movie watching you should have 2 fronts and a centre. Sub and rear surrounds can be bought later.

Plz refer Loudspeakers

For around 50K, the wharfedale MS-100+denon 1513 available on HFV mart is a good option.

Another possibility is to buy used, which will help you buy higher in the value chain with the same budget. Keep a look out in the 'for sale' section - good deals do come up often.

Best,

Guys please comment on review and performance of denon e200 over 1513 or 1713.
And m thinkin of going for
1)avr (any of the above)
2)front polk tsi100
3)center polk cs10
Will add rest later i.e
4)polk psw110sub
5)own rear
Please suggest if they are ok or any more changes can be made keeping price same???

Denon e200 is a new product but same as Denon 1513. From your post I understand that you love bright sound not warm. So I request you to go for Wharfedale Moviestar MS-100 HCP + Yamaha RX-V737. This will cost you around 50k. But the result will be far better than Home Theater in a Box.

Here is the combo > Wharfedale Moviestar MS-100 HCP Home Theatre Cinema Package

I have also the same speaker so I can definitely say that for your room it will be excellent choice.
I have also done a review of my speaker , Here > http://www.hifivision.com/home-theater/35407-denon-1513-wharfedale-ms-100-speaker.html

Another review > AV MAX_Wharfedale MS-100 HCP_March 2012-1.pdf

I think you should go for Yamaha RX-V373 because it has room calibration YPAO software. YPAO Automatic System Calibration - Yamaha United States - United States

my requirment
1room size 12*14
2budget 40-50k
3use:movies 80% music 19% game1%
4ear:needs crystal clear sound instead of all woofer (boom boom),will be playing at moderate volumes ,vocals as well as bass should be clear.

what is the price of following combination:
DENON 1513 +wharfedale 70+ moviestar:
DENON 1613+harfedale 70+ moviestar :or
DENON1513+POLK rm6750 or
DENON 1513+POLK TSI 100 front+CS10+psw110+rear(will go in parts )or any other option please suggest as i will be buying it nextmonth

one more thing will i be able to setupp my HT on my own or it will be gud to askfor installation from vendor

Mostly Hd 5.1 downloaded stuff frm internet ..mp3 for music throught media player or my pc

If you plan to buy a new receiver in india..The bare minimum you need is 20K...Entry level receiver..

So a Non HDMI receiver should do for you...

Hope the 5.1 download from internet will not have DTS/DD in HD....Such as the case, you don't need HDMI receiver..You can very well settle for a Non HDMI (Used) receiver for 10 - 15K Max.

For the remaining 35K, i would like to suggest Sonodyne Sonus range of speakers...Easy on the pocket.....

Sonodyne Sonus 1501 BS (11K) + Sonus C2401 (5K) + Sonus Rear's Dipoles (13K)...You may later add a sub-woofer from them for 15K (Roar 108)..

Now this is a proper BS combo speakers...So stereo listening will be good even without a Sub....

This way you can play movies with DTS/DD sound track and strike a balance with stereo content too...

Think abt it & choose...
