Next PVR + Airtel ? Did anyone successfully configure NExt PVR in India

Hi Guys,

With lot of help from Forum, I have setup XBMC with my homeserver. I have not configured it perfectly, but it definitely works for me and serves my need.

I hit upon idea of setting up DVR using HTPC. I read Next PVR can work along with XBMC. Just wanted to check if any of our guys have tried configuring Next PVR with Airtel ?

Need your thoughts.

You cannot use a DVR in HTPC to record programs from the DTH providers in India. Almost all the feed is encrypted and you can record using the individual company owned DTH providers set top box only. Even this recorded program can be played back on the set top boxes only and not in any other PC. But I think the only FTA (Free To Air) channels can be recorded using a TV Tuner card with XBMC but as far as I know only the DD channels are FTA.
