Hi,
I have LG 42LF20FR LCD TV to which I connect my laptop Acer 4736z (which I use as my HTPC) through HDMI. The laptop displays only 1080i as the max resolution though the TV supports 1080p. Why does this happen? How can I play 1080p content on my TV?

Thanks,
R

Extend the desktop rather than cloning it. Then select 1080 from the graphic settings.
Cheers!

Some more info. I am using Intel TV Wizard to set the resolution. It shows 1080i60 as the max resolution when the laptop is connected. I noticed that my TV shows the resolution as 1080p@60 when I choose 1080i60. So I am assuming that it plays the movies in 1080p. But, why don't I see 1080p60 as one of the options in Intel TV Wizard? I have the latest drivers and tried all display modes.

Thanks,
R
