Hi,

Just wanted guidance on the following..

Have got a Samsung LCD 4 Series TV + TATA SKY Set Top BOX + Panasonic SCXH170 Home theatre system.

Have no issues with respect to the audio heard in the home theatre speakers when playing a dvd / usb through the player in the home theatre itself. (i.e. the surround effect is there)

Issue here is that am not able to hear the sound of my channels received in my TATA SKY Set top box through my home theatre speakers..

How do i receive the sound in all the speakers of my home theatre ?

Did some googling around.. but landed up being confused. Please help me out.

Will connecting the Player and my TV through HDMI cable solve the issue ?

Regards
Gopi

Just connect the analogue audio out from LCD to the analogue audio in on the HT via stereo coaxial cable and select the right audio source on HT. This should solve your problem in a jiffy :). Enjoy your new buy.

difficult to achive sound in all speakers in such htibs.
check if there is a optical/spdif in in your htib.connect it from optical/spdif out from tata sky hd stb.
RCA to RCA from stb to htib
OR
RCA to RCA from TV out to htib
will do but not from each speakers.

Dude connect the analogue out(the outs which are red and white in colour) of your set top box with the similar ins of your home theater. As far as sound from all speakers is concerned, you need to change the listening mode to 5 channel stereo or Dolby Pro-logic(if your ht has that) in your home theater..

Yup.. got the done. ... have connected the three to two point connection on to my Samsung LED's Digital Output to my Home theatre .. It's working ..

But the only confusion here.. is that .. I need to keep the volume of the LCD and the Home theatre at 30 (0 being the lowest and 100 the highest) each . .to hear the sound..

Is it ok to keep this volume at this level .. .? Won't it damage the TV or the home theatre units ?
