offer p42v20d for 34k - suggestion pls - Urgent

I got a offer for 5 mths old p42v20d (full HD) for 34K with Bill and warranty 3yrs.

Should I go for it or opt for samsung 42d490 (720P)in shwroom with +8k rs.

Urgent Pls. I am deviating from my original decision of p42st30 which is avaiable for 66K.

These 2 Tvs save me 25 to 30k compared to 42st30.

Check for the usage hours and signs of retention and you can pick up the V20. A steal at the price. Why is he selling BTW?
 
Sorry wrong info. this is not seconds piece. Came to know this one (p42vt20) friend is getting for me from a show room's display piece.

Then be very careful or better avoid.

Check the usage hours if it is <150 - 200 hours
Check for image retention thoroughly in pure black and pure white screen. The showrooms display always in Dynamic mode which will create the IR easily.
 
Check the usage hours and ask about the warranty on the display units(any hidden clauses).If you find them convincing , go for it. 34k is a steal if its just 5 months old and not gone under repair .

if you get a good piece V20 is the best 2D tv you can buy..........it is panasonic's top of the line tv!!!
 
I was planning to buy without seeing it if the price is good. Now you guys tell me to check it. So personally I will go with my frnd tomorrow to the showroom and check it myself.

1. should I go in daya time or evening?
2. How do I check the IR ?
3. How do I check usage hrs?
4. Anything apart from above let me know

give me hints how do I check it (usage,IR,etc..) in the showroom.
planning to go tomorrow to see it myself.
Is ther any floating black or FBr with p42v20?
any buzzing issues??
 
Looked at 2 display pieces (p42v20d) at diff croma showrooms. One for 33k made in jun 2010 and other is 34k made in aug 2010.

The aug make looked somewhat new so I took it for 34k. Still the 33k one is available . If any interested can take it.

Looked for IR or BI no signs on both of them. Looked neat.
Cant check usage hrs as could not find how to do it.

Not happy with SD content seen in show room. Hope it wil be better when I connect My DTH. (still dilemma between ADTV or D2h).

Where are you located? Which Croma outlet?

it would be unfair to even compare the V20 to any samsung entry level tv!!! if you do get a decent V20 set, grab it!!! Remember V20 is a top end panasonic plasma, very few tv's can come close to it, let alone surpass it!!!

Can you please check and let us know? If there is no IR or any other issue on the TV, I am ready to buy it immediately if it comes with 3 years warranty just like a new TV.
 
on 31st Oct visited the showroom and could not find any issue with the TV.
Manufactured in JUN 2010. Not sure still available. Check with Croma anna nagar, chennai. They were telling that the 3 yrs warranty was Diwali offer. Not sure extended further

pls check the usage before you buy this from croma, coz i checked a 42V20 display unit before diwali and it had been used for 1000hrs.....


Reg. the extended warranty, i received the extended warranty for my ST30 yesterday. As per this warranty card this extended warranty is for units purchased between 24 sept to 31st Oct.
