Onkyo 3300/3400 - Any good Deals??

Guys-

Anyone has information about any good deals going on for Onkyo 3300/3400 particularly in and around Bangalore...? Currently i am inclined to Onkyo 3300 and will think of purchase if it sells for around 20K (New), since i believe paying 25K for 3400 for just one additional HDMI port is not a good idea... Did you guys find any other additional features apart from one additional HDMI port b/w 3300 & 3400...

Also, how do differentitate between 3300/3400 with 3305... In Croma store, they say that all the three models are same and are selling by putting all the 3 models for single product. However, i strongly believe that 3305 has no auddessey equalizer which i read it somewhere in this forum...

So, how to make sure that i get the right product delivered (3300/3400)..??

Check the Onkyo site for differences in all these models. The outer packing will clearly indicate the model number. 3300, 3305 and 3400 are different models. See the PDF files, for the AVR and for the speakers in Onkyo official website.

1. ebay India has on offer Onkyo 3400 at 24990/- plus one gets to chosse Fuji C20Digital Camera/Panasonic 3611 Cordless phone/32 GB Sandisk Pendrive as per current offer. So effective cost will be close to 23000/- considering approx. Rs. 2000/- as value of free gift.

2. I myself recently bought Onkyo 3300 plus free Philips BDP3200 for Rs. 25000/- from Croma. So effective cost can be concidered below or close to Rs. 20000/- only.

3. I had done some comparision and AFAIK, the differences between 3400 and 3300 are - (i) additional HDMI-in and (ii) front inputs in 3400.

All cable wires needed for 5 speakers and sub-woofer which are color coded. Even the connector on the speakers and on the AVR are color coded. Apart from these wires there are no other accessories. Contents of the ONKYO 3400 box are 1 AVR, 2 front speakers, 2 rear, 1 center, 1 sub, 1 remote, 2 AA batteries, 6 speaker/sub cables and user manuals with warranty card.

I enquired Griha vaibhava for 3400 and they are quoting 24990/- with no offer or discounts... they also told that this model has increased by 7%, but still they are selling it for 24990/- and the chances are it might increase to 27000/- within a week or two...

I will have a look at this model in Reliance Digital tomorrow and probably think of buying it over this weekend based on the deal to the max of 25K...

Any suggestions??

last week i checked Griha vaibhava for 3400, that time it was 24k. 1 week price increased by 990? :sad: i was also planning to buy

At last i got my Onkyo 3400 for 23500/- from Griha Vaibava, Bangalore... Thanks to this wonderful forum and to my friends out there for the review and response....

There is already an existing thread running for this model and will post my queries going forward (In fact i have already posted one)
