Hi,

Which one is a good deal -
Onkyo HTS-3300 for Rs. 25K
or
Onkyo HTS-3305 + Philips BDP 7500 Blu-ray Player for Rs. 30K?

Notice that one is 3300 and the other model is 3305? Which is a good deal?

Thanks

2nd deal is a bad deal... 3305 is an old model and for 30k you can get a 3300 and a bdp for 5k change.. do not ... plz do not go for 3305 in comparison of 3300

3300 is 120w rms and also have audissey and few extra things added ..

3305 is 100w rms and older model..

hello guys..

when i asked a dealer in bangalore, he told about model onkyo 3400 + philips bdp for rs. 29990.

Is this a good deal..and also, Is philips bluray player good enough?

Hi Renjith,

What is the price of Onkyo 3400 alone, without the Blur-ray player?

And this seems to be good deal at 30K because the Philips BDP 7500 is itself 10K atleast.

I have a PS3 so not looking for another player as of now.

When I enquired about this package deal a month back, it was quoted at 30K for 3300 + Philips BDP 2700 in Bangalore. 2700 is a base model. E-zone was offering 3305 + BDP 7500 for the same price. So, the choice was to either buy better AVR (3300) with base model BDP or buy older model of AVR (3305) with higher-end BDP.

I chose the former and bought 3300 with base model BDP. I think now you get 3400+BDP package instead of 3300+BDP for the same price.
Performace-wise 3400 should be same as 3300. 3300 or 3400 alone, without the BDP, should cost 25K.

It would make sense if you buy the blu-ray player from US. You would be able to buy and play Blu-ray disk from US (amazon etc) at much cheaper price than in India.
In an blu-ray player purchased from India, you would not be able to play US blu-ray disk

Its a good deal if they are offering Phillips 7500 because it can play all formats incld mkv and mp4. otherwise dont go with other phillips models because they cant play mp4 formats.

Try to buy Onkyo 3400/3300 (not 3305) with Sony BD S370 it can play all formats incld AAC audio and super Audio/DVD audio. Avoid Philliips

onkyo 3400 alone costs 24.5k..i think they are offering 3400+ philips 2700 base model. so this offer doesnt sound good..instead i trying to go with sony bd s370 as it can play much more formats.
