onkyo 3400 or 3500 ?worth 2k more ?

even i want a home theatre for my PS3 and Blue-ray Movies .

in Chennai Onkyo 3400 is 25.5k.

the 3500 is coming in a month ( confirm) , but the price is 28k.

if there are price reductions , surely not in the next 2-3 months . i guess

is it worth spending 2-3k more ? i dont really care of the usb port . my ps3 has that . anything else USEFUL in 3500 for blue ray movies and ps3 ?

HI, Me too placed in Chennai. Can you suggest me the dealer name n contact number for onkyo? The price you mentioned is pretty cheap. Im planning to get Onkyo HTS 3400 or HTS 3500.

3400 is 5.1 and 3500 is 7.1.. Am I right?

Both are 5.1 systems. The main differences I could gather from the website are the addition of a USB port in 3500, height of front satellites reduced to that of the rears. Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Audyssey Dynamic Volume seem to be missing which is a let down. In my opinion, there is no need to wait for 3500. While the usb is a welcome addition, how many of us will use it to listen to music?

I feel the difference is pretty much with the USB connectivity and nothing else...

In chennai, Reliance Digital is offering Onkyo HTS 3400 for 28k with an offer of Philips 5200 3D bluray player with USB playing all formats literally for an additional 2K.

Is there any other way to connect ones Ipod or mobile phone to the amp without the usb port. What about a 3.5SP to 2RCA. Will this work with the 3400?
