Onkyo A 9310 Issues

Hey,

First off: I suck in audio stuff. I just listen to music hyeah:

I have an Onkyo A 9310 Amp, and it keeps giving me the following problem. The connection on the input selector keeps switching from Line to CD and Tuner automatically (like there's some kind of loose connection or dust interference).

What do I do? Take it to the authorised Onkyo service center for a fix? Can I trust them in Bangalore not to rip me off?

Red Liner the Bangalore Onkyo service staff are pretty straight forward guys. I don't see them ripping you off for a minor job. Before the Hyderabad office was setup I used to pick up all my Onkyo gear from their Cunningham Road office but I understand that they have moved from there.

i too have a similar problem with my A9510. the input selector would keep blinking. after a few tries it would work and then the amp will work for any duration. i took it to the onkyo service at blore about a month back but they returned it after a week saying it is an old system and the spare for the input selector was not available. they charged Rs.350/- for that
I asked them if they could short it some way so that only one input works and i could use the CD player. but they did not say anything for that.
they appeared very keen to sell me a new amp
i am now looking for some one else who could repair it.

Yes, I did get the amp fixed - the staff were very courteous and very pleasant to deal with! They charged me INR 1000 for the fix. I did want to tell them that this is a defect across most Onkyo 9510's and they shouldn't be charging me, but I discouraged myself considering the treatment I got.

You should hold off and ask them to order the part for you and then go in to get it fixed. The amp works like a charm after that.

Yes, the same place. Its an office housed in a house kinda thing. Very difficult to locate.
