Onkyo HT-S3305 sound quality issue with PC as well as Airtel HD STB

hiii i have connected my pc through hdmi and tried to play movie in all formate (viz blue ray,hdrip,dvdrip,mkv....) but not getting any Dolby TrueHD or nething else xcept Dolby pl II (in which i hardly get any sound from rear channel)
for information here is my pc config....
I5 2500k
DH67LB moby (my Ht-s3300 receiver is connected through on board hdmi)
gts250 GPU (i am not using it rght nw coz i lost my spdif to gpu connector)

n can any one tell me why onkyo ht-s3300 isnt producing upto mark sound quality with STB it sounds like ordinary speaker with a hell lotta loudness nothing else

What media player are you using? In vlc while playing HD content via hdmi i select Audio->Audio device->SPDIF then the receiver detects DD or DTS.

second thing i wanna ask why in ever case i am only getting pl II or all channel out put only

Can you post your detailed settings?
In PowerDVD10,you need to output correct sound out(as bitstream)
Check the sound out in Playback device as HDMI out as default.
Install correct drivers for HDMI.

This generally works.

Use MPC-HC with LAV filter and use HDMI. That's all you need.

The LAV filter link in the above post is dated. Use this instead to download Downloads - lavfilters - Open-Source DirectShow Media Splitter and Decoders - Google Project Hosting
Use the latest installer exe (not zip).

To get Dolby D when you connect to Airtel HD you need to connect the Onkyo receiver via optical. I too have have airtel HD and there is no way u can get Dolby D via HDMI.

@abhijeet.ghosh i have connected my airtel hd stb via optical out again its the same story no any digital dolby sign only thing i am getting is PL II sign and in that PLII option i hardly get any sound from surround sound rear speaker even if @ sound calibation of upto 6db setting for rear surround sound kindly help me

@spirovious which driver u are talking about coz i am using my onboard sound card and gpu (intel DH67BL motherboard with hdmi out) and if i use realtek driver then i am not getting any option for hdmi digital out in sound n speaker setting option and if i remove it or disable it (Realtek one) then only i am able to get option for digital out HDMI onkyo receiver option
also could you please temme wat setting i required in my PowerDvD

with Realtek drivers,you should be able to see Dts-HD option in sound/playback device.
