this model of onkyo comes with thx I/S and the manufacturer says its best for small room.
Please post your suggestions for My small room(12*10feet).
can this system generate good soundstage in my small room.

dear friend,

i too was interested in this particular setup. but according to experts' comments this HTiB being THX compatible, will require a well controlled listening environment and placement of speakers (remember, its a 7.1 pkg, 9305 is also available which is 5.1 cousine of 9300, but that too requires similar treatment). if you can do that, it should work.

againt, i would like to remind you that i am not an expert. all these i have concluded from whatever i have been fed back by the experts as well as local Onkyo dealer. if you need more details, search my other query-threads for 9305 as well as THX certified components

@paritosh room acoustics is always important for any speaker to perform at its best.so if you want perfect sound from a speaker you have to do it otherwise you have to compromise.

Very few Blu-ray movies are coming with 7.1 audio.

You may use 2 speakers as Front High, if you are placing Front left and Front right at the TV height. In this way only 2 speakers will be there in the back.

Please note that only A/V receiver is THX certified. In general speakers coming in a HTIB setup is not that great. It would be better to go for a A/V receiver and a 5.1 or 7.1 speaker package based on your preference & budget.

If you would like to stick to Onkyo brand, chose a good A/V receiver and SKS-HT728 (which is better than other 5.1 speaker setup of Onkyo).

thx I/S plus is a certification for home theater in a box and the system is fully thx certified.I have no doubt about the quality of the system.it costs around 33k in usa.I am going to buy it from usa or from uae.the package is a great value for money.

India is not a good country for people who wants perfection and good products.Our government is stealing all our money and we are just fools.

hi what is the exact room size required for THX to work. i am planning to buy onkyo hts 9300, right now i am building a new house in which i am planned to built a separate room for home theater. pls help me. i am thinking of 15*20 sqft.
