Onkyo Receiver repair - contact requested

Hi,

Recently settled in Kochi, Kerala. I have a faulty Onkyo NR 606 receiver which been brought from Dubai. HDMI board is the issue. Can any suggest contact details of a good person who can repair. Thanks

Service centres generally go for hdmi board replacement only. This may end up costing more than half of what you bought the AVR for.

Pls check if 'Cinebels' is in your city. They are the authorised dealers and service-maintenance guys for Onkyo.

in chennai Onkyo themselves are the repair guys...my Onkyo DS676 died on me and they said there are no parts....its now with a independant repair guy who is tryin to source the parts.i hv been. told tht frequent failures are Board corrosion, signal processing board, and preamp board... and none of these are available any more from Onkyo for the old models.

I am not sure whether possible for the service. But you can try.

There is a Onkyo and Pioneer Service centre in Kochi. To be precise it is located in Kadavantra Junction. I forgot the place name. However, If I find it, I'll update you.

For Onkyo system service in Chennai please contact Mr. Vijayan. I had an old Onkyo system which was not working. He did a very fine job in repairing the system in quick turn around time with reasonable cost. You can also courier the system if you are outside of Chennai. He repairs and sends it back.

Though he is a specialist in repairing Onkyo systems, he also repairs all other AVR's other than Onkyo. His contact number is 98412 82784.
