Hello Friends,
Im new to this forum, I live in Negombo, Sri Lanka (About 1.5km from the shore).
I own a OPPO-BDP83 BluRay Player (Original Firmware), which is connected through the analog audio output to a "Leak Stereo 20 Tube Amplifier". The sound is quite amazing and I have been using this for several months. (From 2009 December Onwards)
The rainy season down here started a week ago, and since then,I noticed a problem with the analog audio output. When I'm listening to an Audio CD, The playback volume suddenly decreases to a certain level, and stays there for some time. To overcome this I have to restart the device, but the issue occurs again in a few minutes.
To check whether the issue is caused by humidity, I moved my Player to an air conditioned environment. This however did not solve the problem entirely, but I noticed an improvement. Unlike earlier, the audio drop issue is not so frequent now. But still, it did not solve the problem entirely.
This issue is not visible during SACD/BluRay Playback, which uses the Digital output instead of the Analog Audio Output. The problem only occurs when I use the Analog Audio output.
Is there any help regarding this issue ?
* Can this issue be triggered by the sudden change in weather (eg-Humidity) ?
* Is this caused by the firmware of my device ? (I have never upgraded the device firmware)
Thanks a Lot in advance,
Best Regards,
Edward Perera.
