Hey all, I got an optical to RCA converter to hook my smart TV up to my older Denon stereo. It works great (after I figured out how to switch the audio mode on the TV to PCM); however I've noticed something regarding volume adjustment. When I'm listening to my turntable, cassette deck, or CD player, the volume tracks nice and evenly - each time I hit the volume up, the volume increases slightly. However, when I'm using the TV, each volume adjustment is a much larger decibel gap. One push up makes the sound go much higher than it does for any other device. However, if I adjust the knob manually (not with the remote) I can get an adjustment more similar to my other devices. Is this just a pitfall of the converter? Not sure if there's a fix for it, I'm just kind of curious.
