when it comes to INR it will be even higher as we will pay MORE than USA for the electronics from 20(if lucky) to 40%

65inch 4ks cost us INSANEly high compared to other countries., so maybe if you are in the market to buy a sony 65 inch I think this projector + a decent sound system may be a better bet .

While this ain't affordable yet (for us poor guys).. just cheaper from the other 4k pricing, we would appreciate a more affordable price is something less or around 1k USD who knows black fridays can pull this price into that area.

Totally agree with your view
But if you consider cost of other 4K projector, this is 4-5 times less. That is the reason I dare to call it affordable. Also you also know that sky is limit for cost of audio n video equipments.
Enjoy

But if you consider ..

Ah. Buddy, dramitpc. (and other guys).
That was said with a dash of humor! :)

Of course this is affordable, as compared to the other 4K projectors on market.
:D
Just like BMW 3 series is the cheapest car to buy :p (as compared to other variants & among other German cars)

Haha.

Hold ON ,Optoma UHD60 is still predorder on Amazon.com .India optoma has no idea of launch here .So is a long wait to have 4K at $2000....

seeing that LG, Sony, Samsung has the audacity to sell us 4K 55" Tv for 1.5 lacs and above, yup these are affordable.

EPSON LAUNCHED HOME CINEMA 4000
Epson claims the 3LCD tech enables the Home Cinema 4000 to achieve a wide color gamut that covers the entire Rec. 709 and DCI-P3 color spaces or, in simpler terms, it can display a wider range of colors more accurately than even many TVs.

The Home Cinema 4000 boasts two HDMI ports, and an optical audio output so you can connect to an external sound system.

Epsons announcement brings some welcome competition for the UHD60, an even more affordable 4K projector recently announced by Optoma. Like the Home Cinema 4000, the UHD60 also uses some clever tricks to display 4K UHD content, in this case a special DLP chip that doubles the number of pixels displayed by its 4 million mirrors. We cant tell you yet which has the better picture, but were looking forward to getting our hands on both in the near future.
Here's a full rundown of key specs and features per Epson:

4K Enhancement Technology Accepts native 4K UHD content; also up-scales 1080p input for resolution that exceeds Full HD

HDR10 High Dynamic Range for full 10-bit color output; extraordinary range of brightness for images bursting with real-life color

100 Percent Pure Color Brightness 2,200 lumens equal color and white brightness3 for vibrant, rich color in every mode

UltraBlack Contrast Up to 140,000:1 contrast ratio for rich detail in both bright and dark scenes

Smart Motorized Lens Preset up to 10 positions for powered focus, zoom and lens shift; features 2.1x zoom and ultra wide lens shift

L*a*b* Ultra Wide Color Gamut Offers 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, the digital cinema standard4

Delta Level Color Accuracy With a low Delta E rate, the Home Cinema 4000 delivers extremely accurate color reproduction for true-to-life images

Epson 3LCD Technology Precision-aligned 3-chip engine delivers jaw-dropping action scenes with no rainbow effect

The Epson Home Cinema 4000 is AVAILABLE NOW through select retailers, e-tailers, and the Epson online store for an MSRP of $2,100.

Home Cinema 4000 vs Home Cinema 5040UB

For anyone curious, we recently reviewed the Pro Cinema 6040UB / Home Cinema 5040UB -- which you can read HERE. When talking to Epson about the launch of the Home Cinema 4000, we asked about key differences between the models...

At present, the HC 5040UB costs around $300 more than the HC 4000. For that $300, you get 2500 lumens (vs. 2200) and a million-to-one contrast ratio (vs 140,000:1), both of which will improve overall brightness, black level, and HDR performance. Otherwise, the Home Cinema 4000 offers the same basic casing, menu design, and color volume performance described above and in our full review.

It's hard to argue with a $2,199.99 entry-level pricing, but if you want to do any daytime and/or 4K HDR viewing, the 5040UB might be a better choice. Either way, though, you'll be happy -- until true-4K projectors become more affordable, Epson 4Ke projectors are the best deals in town.

4K Enhancement Technology Accepts native 4K UHD content ?

Is it not true 4K supporting ?

For example, if I play Youtube 2160p file, is it going to output at full res ?

The EPSON 4000 price ?

https://epson.com/For-Home/Projecto...ctor-with-4K-Enhancement-and-HDR/p/V11H715120

Native Resolution:
Native 1080p (1920 x 1080) with 4K Enhancement2

Its Full HD i think.

Also none of the projectors are True 4K other than the high end Sony /JVC

Thats the reason why most of the low end projector specs native resolution mentioned as 4K UHD

True 4K is 4096*2160 but most of the low end projectors are 3840x2160 which is Ultra HD/UHD

Sony Premium Home Entertainment - VPL-VW1100ES

Display Resolution: 4096 x 2160 (Full 4K)

Aspect ration would be 17:9 instead of standard 16:9 for these true 4K projectors
