Hi All,

After a lot thinking and going through all the reviews I have finally ordered Xiaomi MI3 on flipkart today. In Today's sale, they have had 20000 units and all of them were sold out in 2.4 Seconds (thats crazy actually). Well fortunately I was one of the 20000 that have ordered this phone today. I will post a detailed review once I get my hands on the phone. But, I would like to share some tips that I have followed while ordering this phone on flipkart today.

1. I was using Google chrome browser along with flipkart app on iphone of one of my collegues.
2. I have logged in well ahead of the time and placed the cursor exactly in the middle of the minutes field and as it turned out, by the time it has timed out, Buy now button was exactly where my cursor was placed.
3. Clicked it immediately and boom it got added to my cart. :yahoo:
4. Did it almost at the same time in the flipkart app of iphone and got a message that it is out of stock.

Hope My experience helps you. My reasons for going for MI3 is that I am on a tight budget and my Old Samsung Galaxy S is almost done now. I am using it for the past 4 years and I am looking for a new one for the past 2 months. Finally zeroed in on a phone which fits my budget perfectly. And to think of the specifications that this phone offers for its price range, I would say its a steal.

If there is any one in the forum using this phone, you guys are welcome share your experience here. I would be very eager to listen the experience from you.

Thanks,
Sandeep.

congrats!
Just one query: The unauthorised data access from this MI3 is stopped or still continuing?
I would worry why my privacy is compromised!!!

Thank you. Well as far as I know, I guess the unauthorized data access was happening from other phones of Xiaomi like Redmi3 and RedMi5. I have not heard anything related to Mi3. Also, couple of days Xiaomi CEO Hugo Barra has acknowledged that it is a mistake from and they are rolling out an update to fix it. So, I am ok with it. One might face this problem only when they use MiCloud for storage. I guess, we can very well opt to not to use it. So, its all OK for me.

Thanks,
Sandeep.

Yes, I got mine on 12 Aug sale. Its extraordinary phone in this budget. I have not found a single flaw. The MIUI custom rom is intuitive, fast and attractive.
Xiaomi must overcome supply chain short-coming and they must realize that these flash sales are helping flipkart more than their company. Afterall, if people buy a Moto after waiting impatiently 2 weeks for Mi3, it means that xiaomi is losing customers, but flipkart is cashing on their short-supply.

Ok. Now, I have been using this phone for the past 10 days and it has been a fantastic experience so far. Here are the points that I have noticed so far,

1. The new MIUI is fantastic. It is a little differennt to the standard UI that we get in all other phones. This one does not have an app draw. It is different but its very smooth fantastic.

2. MI provides few themes of their own for MIUI. These themes are just fantastic. They change the look and feel of the phone completely. Even the icons that are displayed are very interesting and looks fabulous.

3. Camera is pretty decent. Night shots are pretty average, but the daylight shots are really bright and vibrant. HDR mode is pretty cool and works like a charm.

4. Audio quality is good. Loud speaker is not that great, but works just fine for me. It has a mono speaker, not a stereo one. With headphones attached, the quality is awesome. You cannot compare it to say HTC One M8 but still at this price, this is really good.

5. I am not much into games, but I have tried Asaphalt 8 in this one. I was able to play it without any issues.

6. Screen quality is really really good. It is fantastic actually.

7. Battery backup is good. I am able to get through the day without any hassle.

8. On the downside, right now they are selling only 16gb version in India. With no external card slot, this is a disadvantage. Especially for folks who would like to carry huge bunch of songs on their phones.

9. For a 5 inch phone, this is fairly big to hold. It almost feels like a smaller version of a phablet.

Finally, At this price this phone is simply a steal. One of my friends uses Nexus 5 and he felt this one is better than that. Considering the fact that this costs only half as much as Nexus 5, it is a huge compliment to this phone. If Xiaomi does not go messing around with their flash sale concept, I guess they can just capture good chunk of the Indian Market.

Thanks,
Sandeep.

Happy owner of the mi3.Has only 16 gb non expandable. And it gets heated up a little.Apart from these minor problems a very good phone.

I am a happy owner too of Mi3.
Excellent phone for its price.

My only concerns are
Its quite slippery and it gets warm sometimes.

Also while it comes back from Marathon power mode, the Bluetooth choice is not remembered. Have to turn it on manually. Does anyone else have the same problem.
